A specialty retailer came to us for a fresh, high-end look inside their Westfield tenancy. We designed and built the whole fitout around sleek black MDF panels — feature display walls, a service counter and back-of-house storage — then installed it after-hours so the store could trade right up to handover. This project is part of our custom shop fitting service across Melbourne.
Retail fitouts inside a Westfield centre come with their own rules — strict landlord fitout guidelines, protected trading hours and access windows that usually fall overnight. Because we design, build and install with our own Melbourne team, we could manage all of it end to end: one point of contact, one quote, and no trades pointing fingers when the clock is running.
What we built
The brief was simple: make the space feel premium, wear well under shopping-centre foot traffic, and go in without disrupting trade. Black MDF was the hero — matte, modern and easy to keep clean — framing the product without competing with it.
Every piece was measured on site, drawn up, then cut and finished on our factory machines before it reached the centre — so the install was fast, tight and clean.

Shop fitting inside a Melbourne Westfield centre
Working in a major shopping centre isn't the same as a standalone shopfront. There are induction and compliance requirements, protected trading hours, loading-dock bookings and noise limits — so most of the real work happens after the doors close. We built the entire fitout in our Melbourne factory first, delivered it in sections, and assembled and installed on site across a handful of overnight shifts. The store traded as normal each morning.
