This European Laundry Brunswick Melbourne project turned a narrow service space into one of the hardest-working rooms in the home. A “European laundry” hides the washer and dryer behind full-height cabinetry — ideal for the compact terraces and apartments around Brunswick and Melbourne’s inner north.
We measured, drew, built the cabinetry in our own Melbourne factory and installed it with the same crew — the same precision joinery we bring to our MDF kitchen joinery and custom cabinetry.
Everything lives behind a clean run of full-height doors — a stacked washer and dryer, a benchtop to fold on, and floor-to-ceiling storage. Closed, it reads as joinery, not a laundry.
Because it’s custom, nothing is wasted. Soft-close drawers for laundry powders, deep shelves for baskets and linen, a pull-out hamper and a dedicated spot for the ironing board — all sized to the client’s exact space.
The doors are finished to sit beside the kitchen and living joinery, not fight it — a soft, warm palette with slimline handles and a hard-wearing benchtop that takes the daily wear a laundry gets.
